2020: Well that didn't go to plan...

When I said my new years resolution was 'to go out less' - I meant less night-life, not literally staying indoors all year.

It's been challenging, it's been scary and dare I say it.... it's been 'unprecedented'.

With the largest cancellations of weddings in the history of weddings; suppliers in the industry have seriously struggled and as a wedding stationery supplier, we certainly felt the squeeze.

In remembering the year to forget, I think it's important to consider that there's been enough negativity already in 2020, so in this post, I'd like to instead focus on the positives...

Thank You

We'd like to offer out most sincere and heartfelt thanks, to all of our customers in 2020.

I know ordering wedding stationery was a bit risky at times, but without you taking a chance and supporting a small business like us, TavernCreative would not still be here. Fact.

Thank you x 100.

Paper Park

This year we spent our unexpected extra time perfecting our collection, adding new and exciting products and even launching our sister company Paper Park.

In the early days of TavernCreative we offered a wide range of celebration invitations and personal stationery, from birthday invites, to birth announcements and so much more.

As the years went on TC became a wedding stationery supplier and all our other products went into hibernation

However, Paper Park has pulled all of our old favourites out of the filing cabinets and thrown them back into the spotlight.

New surroundings

You'd think after the year we've had, upscaling would be the last thing we'd be thinking about, but our ever changing requirements and circumstances made it a necessity and a no brainer for us to do just that.

We've now moved into our new offices (yes plural), which is four times the size of our previous premises.

This has given us the space we needed to organise, create and most importantly grow!

When things get back to normal, we can't wait to welcome you all back to the TC studios!

With vaccine optimism ever increasing and summer weddings 2021 looking very likely (including my own), confidence in ordering wedding stationery is on the rise.

We're poised and ready for our busiest months of the year - January, February & March - by the end of which we should hopefully see the world opening back up and returning to normality

However, if there's one thing I've learnt from 2020, it's to not 'jinx it', so I hereby declare 2021 will not be my year (wink).

Thank you once again.

Here's to a happier and healthier 2021 with lots of weddings, parties, engagements, socialising, babies, hugs, kisses and smiles.
